What Is STEAM and Why Should Schools Find Time for It? A Principal’s Perspective

When middle school principal Lisa Benedetti-Ramzi realized her students were struggling in science, she made a few changes at her school, including adding a STEAM block to the schedule. Now, in addition to regular science, technology, and math classes, teachers have time to explore STEM concepts in creative ways using art, music, and the performing arts.
