Can an Increase in Empathy Lead to a Drop in Suspensions? - Rules for Engagement - Education Week

Stanford researchers found that teachers' participation in professional development to promote empathy correlated with half as many suspensions for their students. The findings suggest that attitudes may be as important as policies in promoting healthy school climates.
